Bishop V.G. Clarke

Bishop V. G. Clarke, the senior pastor of Calvary Deliverance Church located East St. South , is undoubtedly an appointed servant of God who walks under a peculiar anointing.  He began his ministry at the tender age of 16 years in the city of Nassau , and went on to achieve a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology to further prepare himself as a serious messenger of the Word.

Over the years he has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s more respected prophetic voices whose deep concern for the church’s moral standards, spiritual integrity, holiness and relationship with God is laudable.  This conviction is consistently resounded in his passionate and relentless resolve to preaching an unabridged gospel to the Body of Christ, whenever he ascends the Holy Nest of God to declare thus says the Lord.

The fresh “New Testament Gospel” approach of Bishop Clarke’s delivery immediately attracts the attention of a hungry, God-seeking audience. His ministry reaches across the nation via radio, a weekly television programme, and regular preaching/teaching engagements, which include seminar and conference appearances.

Under Bishop Clarke’s leadership, Calvary Deliverance Church has experienced exponential growth, has established a respectable preschool, Calvary Deliverance Christian Academy , which along with the Administration currently employs 15 full time staff members.

Bishop Clarke has traveled extensively throughout the length and breadth of the Bahamas , the Caribbean, the United States of America , Israel and Egypt , delivering the message of Jesus Christ.  His passion for spreading the Gospel has taken him to neighboring Haiti for some four years ministering the Word to thousands, distributing food items, clothing and giving financial assistance.

This humble man of God has worked in the community for a number of years.  Bishop V. G. Clarke contines his prison ministry which began in 1978 and formerly served as a Good Samaritan Minister (counseled persons affected with HIV/AIDS).  He has volunteered at the Ranfurly Home for Children, the All Saints Camp and the Children’s Emergency Hostel.  He was formerly a member of the Nassau Jaycees, former President of the Bahamas Pentecostal Ministerial Fellowship and at present serves as Regional Director of World Harvest Church Ministerial Fellowship for the Bahamas & the Northern Caribbean.

Bishop Clarke and his lovely wife Elder B.M. Clarke, a gifted and very talented preacher in her right, currently reside in Highland Park .  They are the proud parents of six children, all of whom assist them in ministry and the proud grandparents of five.  He enjoys running, reading, traveling and helping people where and when the opportunity avails itself.
